The sun visors are looking pretty sad on my 87 coupe. The sun has taken it's toll on the top side of the fabric. All else is good. The lighted mirrors work well, and the bottom of the visor that faces the interior is of course in good shape, as it is shaded from the sun. Is there any kind of fix that I can try without replacing them, to the tune of $170 for the pair? Any suggestions would be welcome.
I wrapped mine in black glove leather from Amazon. Folded and glued the edges, and stitched it up like the instructions from the Wheelskin steering wheel cover say to do.
A big thank you goes out to C409. I tried your sock idea for my visors and it worked like a charm. It was almost as if the sock was custom made for my visor. Thanks again.

I will add a pic today. Just so you understand, the sock slides right over the mirror. The mirror is not usable. It is not a permanent fix, but it works well for now. I will, in the future, probably have to bite the bullet, and spend the money to replace. For now, it looks good and it works. Many thanks to member C409 for the idea.
