The other day I was driving my corvette and it started running roughly and the engine cut out. I was able to cruise into an alley started it back up and ran about 50m before the vette stalled out again and died. Now it just turns without a start. Occasionally it will run for a second and die right away. I hooked up a fuel pressure gauge at the valve on the rails after checking the fuses and I get no pressure with the key at on. No pressure at all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Fuel pump, they last around 10 years.
Had my c4 for 20 years and gone through two fuel pumps, its a weekend car so yeah pull the sender assembly out and replace the fuel pump.
Have you tracked down the fuel pump? Find if it gets 2 seconds of power when you first turn the key to run. If it doesn't get power, nothing helps. If it does, get the kit HERE. Change your profile to have city/state and your year of corvette. That helps a lot sometimes.
Does the tank have gas in it? It's amazing how many times a situation like this is resolved by adding some gas to the tank.
exactly, just in case. We all know the c4 gas gauge is not always correct. you think there is a 1/4 tank left and then your on the side of the road calling the wife to bring a gas can. My 94 will say it has 140 miles to go and boom, it then says 14 miles to go.
