Default C4 wheel sizes and what will work.

I have a C4 vette and I like wheels with the deep look. But I no idea what sizes I can stuff under the car. Here is an example of a wheel that I like.

I hope it's OK to ask a question here, but I have an 88 with the razor style 16 x 8.5 inch rims and I can't get the correct size tyres for them. I'd like to change to the later 93 model 17 x 9.5 inch rims but the offset is slightly different. Is a quarter inch difference in the offset together with being an inch wider a big deal?

If you actually have an '88 car you can use the later 17 X 9.5 with no trouble. You mention '93 - "NO PROBLEMS"!!

Might consider going to 18x8.5, easier to make the circumference closer or exactly the same as current, keeps the speedo correct.

Can play with finding the right tire size via a tire calculator, such as https://tiresize.com/calculator/ .

If you know what you have and what you might like to go with, here's another calculator that may be of value: https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/

This was one I used last winter with my upgrade. I was able to nail down what fit and what didn't and I was well pleased with the results.
