New Fuel Rail Covers
I have the new fuel rail covers that I painted and added the lettering to, on the car. Been polishing and cleaning.
A tip to remove the white powdery dust on aluminum is white vinegar. It is a mild acid and will remove that white dust coating that gets on it.
It is getting there, a little at a time. I used Mother's Wheel and Mag polish on the fittings and Meguiar's Natural Finish on the plastic and hoses. Eventually I might take the alternator and A/C compressors out and give them a new finish, along with the intake manifold.
I have a set of red hoses to go in once I get a set of clamps that won't cut the silicone rubber.

Shop at a boat supply company such as West Marine. They have many styles and many of them are rubber cushioned.

That looks great. But now you're reminding me that I bought mag polish a year ago and still haven't got around to it. I now have to go to into my garage and clean my engine bay that won't be seen 99% of the time

Here is another one. Got this in today.
I am indebted to one of the board members, he sent it to me and let me pay him in 3 easy payments, truthfully. The timing was such that I could not simply buy it outright at the time. It is cool that there is still trust among people.
The car feels like it is on rails. I can take my hands off the wheel and it tracks absolutely straight on Ohio's bumpy roads. I have "sensitive hands" (not soft, I have a "feel") due to all the years I spent as a tool maker working with manual machines and tolerances of .0001 of an inch or so. You develop a feel and it is really apparent if something is better or worse.

Looks very nice. You can polish up the "fins" on the top of the intake manifold with some of the Mother's metal polish and a little dab from that big tub of elbow grease you seem to have in your garage

Eventually I will have the intake glass beaded and then paint it with Eastwood's Bare Metal Clear with the tops of the fins alternating red and black. I want to port match it at the same time as I pull the heads and work them over. A little bit at a time. It took a few days to do the engine and it is not all the way done.
It is weird, I have some of the bolts that corroded a bit. I have seen older cars from around here that had better bolts. I have been taking them out, cleaning and painting them.
