How does the cable come apart from the main line from radio. Seems like it's spring loaded. Do you just pull on it hard?

The antenna wire that comes out of the antenna. Connects to the main wire to the radio after a couple feet. I ended up just conecting old to the new antenna.
These GM antennas sold now aren't made to slap in in place of the old 22143461 antenna
