Default Been watching a few C6 Video's

So far the interiors for the C6 look hideous and cheap (youtube videos). I'm not impressed. The reason I bring this up is, I've been considering a upgrade, but after watching a few video's, I'm thinking I'll pass.

Maybe I got lucky, but my 92 is loaded and the interior is classy, runs pretty good (3:07 rear) with the automatic and I just like the way it drives and handles (FX3).

Thoughts?

Unless you've actually driven one, not sure I'd be making my judgement based on youtube vids. I've been kicking around the idea of upgrading to a newer vette, but at the same time, since I'm not racing anymore, my 96 satisfies my highway on-ramp dashes and green light sprints, it's paid for, insurance is cheaper, I know it's quirks and at the end of the day she can still embarrass about 95% of the cars on the road.

C6 400/ 430hp, what's not to like?

Well, it's pretty hard to beat the C4 Sport Seats and the Bose Gold.

Seems like you already answered yourself. The C6 hideous and cheap interiors?

cant judge a car by a video gotta drive em youll either have to have one or not
They do everything better in spades

Never owned a C6 but been in a few I love the interior/dash way more seems simpler, easier to read and classic round style analog (even though they are electric) stuff. HVAC makes me nostalgic looks the same as my truck HAHA.

I had C4 for 23 years, and have C6 for 6 years, and wouldn't trade, love the car, love the interior, smart looking, and drives like a dream, with plenty of HP when needed.

Nice L98 there.

Thinking I will need at least the LT3 package?

reasoning

Other than just plain old don't like how the C6 looks
there is not one ligitimate reason in my view to pass on buying a C6

I own both C4 and C6 .......you will not regrett for a second upgrading to a C6... it drives and still feels somewhat like the C4 go cart ride with much more horsepower..

Better yet ... do I what I did, keep the best of both worlds,
"Buy the C6 and KEEP the C4 "

Like I said, the interior of the C6 just looks CHEAP!

Default Maybe Your Looking at the Wrong Year? Try 2013

With the alcantara appointments on the wheel, door, e-brake and shift boot it's very comfortable to hang on to... The 505 HP and Z06 drivetrain helps plant you in the seats.....

I don't think you should pass judgement on something you have never personally seen or driven..I have both a C4 and a C6 , the C6 interior is light years ahead of the C4 in both fit and finish and quality of materials..I love my C4 , but it's no where near the C6 in any category...WW

I tried to inform him......

beside there are many interior trim options and upgrades ( leather, carbon fiber etc.)

if he drives it just one time ....I will bet you... it will not matter what interior trim it is.......He will be to busy wiping the grin off his face!:

Just seeking opinions. So, it all depends on the trim options, right? Not trying to start a hate fest. Staying away from the BASE MODEL.

I've got a C6Z and could care less about the interior for a couple of reasons. 1. I'm having too much fun driving it. 2. We all understand that Corvettes of any generation are at a price point and value where every attention to detail will not be met.

Put the upgraded console in it and it changes it by a lot. Otherwise I don't think there is anything to complain about but the seats. I spent a week in one doing One Lap Of America back in 07 and by the end of the trip I was hating the seats. We had a brand new C6 and an 02 Z06. The Z06 seats were far more comfortable than the C6 seats and the Z06 seats were nothing special. Just stockers.

And, don't forget the C6 Z06 505 hp! That's what I want in the stable, next to our two ZR-1s

Oh! Except for the 93+ sport seats, the C4 (90-91 especially) sport seats are an abomination, IMO. The standard seats are MUCH better (especially if you are older than 15 and weigh more than 165#)
