My car came with Flowmasters, I know most people look down on them but as a new Vette owner(June '02) I don't really have a bias. I can tell you they are a little too loud for my taste (good sound though) and by just putting my hand on the exhaust I don't feel a lot of pressure so Im starting to question how free flowing they are. From what I read here Corsa is the way to go, any input would be appreciated. :seeya
If you can hang in for a while, you may be able to get Corsa's for the L98. Sent them email to find out about Corsa's for my 1990 L98, and they responded back that something was in the works, possibly available by year-end...
Never heard this before "I know most people look down on them". I think my flowmasters are the greatest. Lots of good compliments on them. Wouldn't want any other. :D
I've had my Flowmaster's installed on my '87 since May, an I have no complaints about them. They look great from the back and they sound much better then the stock exhaust I had on before.

Some people really hate them because they tend to have resonance problems, moreso than other exhausts, or at least you hear about Flowmaster's problems more.

Re: Flowmasters? (Alphatoto)
My vette also came with Flows but that just saved me a bit of work as I would have put them on anyway...Ive used nothing but Flowmasters on my cars for over a decade now and love them. Yeah, theres a bit of resonance under 2000 rpm in 6th but thats a small price to pay for the otherwise great sound and awesome performance. I know, I know...Flows are considered "white trash performance" but I still love them :blueangel:
When I bought my '92, the previous owner had removed the Flowmasters because they were too loud, however, he was thoughtful enough to save them. I had them reinstalled. I love 'em so much I put them on my '89 GMC pickup.
I had the Flowmasters installed today. They sound totally awesome. I can't get over the sound that comes out of my car now. And I also noticed Zero resonance. I was cruising on the highway in 6th at about 1600 RPM and I could barely hear the exhaust. At WOT it sounds so mean.
