Bose Rear Speaker Problem?
Just today, I noticed a unusual sound coming from the rear drivers side speaker. The music was distorted sounding. I assume the amp for the rear drivers side is going south. Thinking of picking up a used speaker/ amp for the 92.
Any thoughts?

If you are a good soldering iron driver, you can just replace the large electrolytic capacitors in the power board. That's what usually ages and goes electrically bad on those. If the speaker cone itself has dried up, split or warped where the voice coil is dragging on the magnet, it's pretty much a wipeout because of the weird size and shape of the Bose made speaker.

So that's why I'm replacing the whole speaker unit, amp and all. The previous owner had the CD fixed. If the system continues to give me problems, time for an upgrade. I miss a DVD player as I've got 100's of live concerts on disk.
