I would think this goes onto an 86 L98.

Any help in what this is?

wild *** guess here, but it looks like an ABS wheel sensor.

I'd say O2 Sensor for the intake tube.

I don't know much about TPI's, but if we're throwing WAG's, I'm gonna guess it's an Air Temp Sensor. What's the prize for the winner?

It might be for a BMW or something else, for all I know!

It appears to be an "air Temperature sensor" with a longer wire to be relocated..
Ill put that with my airfoil, in the box of stuff I bought as a newbie that I really didnt need..
