Default Factory CD player error
Tried to load a disc into the factory radio. It spits it back out and reads "error". Any suggestion before I swap the radio? Thanks

Are the songs on the cd MP3's? I tried to play a cd like this in my 93 with the factory stereo to see what would happen and it wouldn't play either.

Assume you tried other CD's including store bought music CD's???

GM CD players regardless of year can have trouble with burned CDs. Resetting radio disconnecting power may help.

Does your cassette player work? I use an adapter in mine so I can play music from my phone. For me it works really well and I like keeping the stock stereo for looks and they are a real PITA to replace.

I don't own a cassette to check. Haha. I think I'll get a new stereo anyway.
