Bob86ZZ4 you deserve a medal for saving that car....anyone that hasn't checked out his home page needs to go see how he bought that ungodly eyesore and saved it. It looks very nice now....well done :yesnod:
I always had nightmares of going to look at a Vette and when I drove up it looking like that poor Vette :U
I never liked any of the body kits for the vettes. I was considering a wing as well but never found anything I liked. Its all for looks and surves no function at all; not even at high speeds unless you have one designed for racing to keep the rear-end down.
JMHO, if a vette needed a wing the factory wouldve given it one.
Gimme a break! The C4 needed an all aluminum 427cid small block with forged internals putting out 600 hp / 550 ft-lbs; but look what the factory gave us....
Oops- forgot the wing picture. At least I'm responding to his request for pics rather than posting negative comments. So if you don't like it that's fine, since I didn't build this car to please you. And I don't need any ricer comparisons since I did these mods back in 94 before ricers even existed!
And yes, I roadrace it and the wing is far enough off the back to catch good air and keep the rear from getting light at 160. But if you want downforce just make sure you attach internally to the frame; bolting it into plastic won't cut it.
