Spare Tire Delete Assembly - Aftermarket available?
I have searched and have read the threads that talk about the pros/cons on a spare tire delete. I have decided that I would like to remove my spare tire and go with the delete assembly if I can find one. Does anyone know of possibly an aftermarket company that makes these? Any input/information would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, what year's your car? If it's not a car that originally came with the option for run-flat tires, you'll wind-up having to remove the rear bumper of your car and modify the frame to mount this spare tire delete kit. Second of all, no, there are no aftermarket spare tire delete brackets made. If you want one, you'll need to find an original or find someone with an original that will let you borrow it for a template in order to have one made. Whatever you do, if you delete your spare, don't drive without one of these kits installed in your car. The spare tire is mounted in such a way that it's actually part of the structure of the car in case of a rear-ender. Driving without either a spare back there - or the factory delete kit - is very risky if you get rammed from behind. Remember: there's not a lot between you and the gas tank without either of these items in place - that's why the factory came up with the delete bracket in the first place!

Melting Slicks
If you want to delete your spare tire and you feel the need for a delete kit. It sounds like the best option is to just make one. Does anyone have a picture of a aftermarket delete kit so the OP can see what it looked like?

Theres a better chance an engine compartment fire will burn the car to the ground....

this is an actual one, it was on eBay recently, they wanted $300.00 for it. I kept going back and forth and then it was sold. I waited too long to make up my mind.
BUT I did grab a picture so I know what it looks like to fabricate one.
It sure looks like it was made of aluminum. There was not an opposite side picture to see if that is a tube or a "C" channel.
Based on this picture, I believe 3 smaller square tubes spaced out would be just fine, such as 2 x 2 x 1/8 or 1/4 wall thickness

there was a thread on this subject a couple years ago. has a few detailed pics. as for the aftermarket availability, fairly sure the answer is no. the best you'll do is used. try a part out or fleabay.
