Went to start my '94 Coupe this past weekend, turned the ignition and got a clicking sound. Repeatedly tried with the same results. I replaced the battery with a new Die Hard Gold and the car immediately started.
I have noticed that since I replaced the battery it will start but occasionally I will still get a click.
Would this be the starter beginning to fail? I have no clue.
Anyone?

Chances are you bought a new battery for nothing. Clean all the terminals including on your starter before you spend money on anything

I would do ground cable at block also while you doing starter cable. Do battery cables still have original ends?

The battery was overdue to be replaced anyway. So it may just be a good cleaning of the terminals on the battery and the wire to the starter. That would be an easy fix. Thank you...

Go to Autozone and have them throw a meter on the charging system. They will do this for free and you will know the condition of your battery, the output of the alternator and if your starting system is good.

It is the best no money you ever spent.
