Stiff Auto Shifter boot
92, Auto Trans
The shifter boot very stiff. So stiff In fact that it won't fold, crease (whatever word you want to call it) enough to shift into 1 or 2nd.
I need to pull the panel to remove the coating and repaint so I figure that's the best time to deal with it.
Is this one of those times you just buy another boot, or is their some product that will return flexibility to the boot?

as long as there is no cracking in the leather, there are several products that are supposed bring dead, stiff, leather back to life. leather honey, and leatherique rejuvenator oil. both products are fairly thick with the consistency of STP. basically, a heavy coat, and let is soak in over a couple days. I've had limited success with both. the problem I see here is the stuff probably cost more than a new, replacement shifter boot.
