Courtesy lights??
None work from either door switch.
I've searched the shop manual and it would appear to me you would need a Degree in Electrical Engineering to trouble shoot the problem.
Any quick, easy way to check the problem out

Connect the white wires at the timer.
If it works, that's the problem.

Usually the courtesy delay timer is the problem, they can fail leaving lights on or off. Have never had a problem with door switches.
The delay timer module is under the passenger side dashboard, is about as wide as a matchbox and quarter of an inch thick.
Pull the delay timer board from the plastic cover, now remove the clip on the heat sink that attaches to the transistor.
Remove the transistor with a soldering iron and a sucker, then take the transistor to a radio parts shop and buy a couple ... they are very cheap.
Fit to the delay timer board, check the transistor can fold over and fit to heat sink. Now solder it in place and refit the board into the plastic cover and connect to car.
These delay timers can fail at any time, leave the door open too long or just plain act of god ...
I have gone through a few of these delay timers in my 85, they are only around 29 or 39 dollars but the transistor that fails costs only a dollar or so.
