Saw this on Facebook.. It is a Kit and sells for $400.00 you can then layout gauges how you want

here is a link to the kit itself

I actually like that quite a bit. I wish the tach was bigger, the C4 gives you a lot of space to work with for gauges and that doesn't use it very efficiently.

Since it is a kit, it would be easy to move the main gauges around to get them to fit nice.

the lower right gauge in the picture is not part of the kit and I don't think they sell additional gauges.. Oil temp would be nice or even others. it is a cool concept and is one of the nice kits..

I still want to build a custom cluster, not sure what I want yet, but this was cool

That is a cool digital dash. I am kind of still old school and am saving up to put this one in the '96.

That dash you posted is kind of a modern one of these as far as the layout goes.

Whose product is that? last I checked, the only company doing analog dashes for C4's hadn't quite gotten all the electronic interfaces for a 96 figured out yet. And yes, I do like.

one of the major Corvette suppliers also offers a dash. It is in their catalog. At this time, I forget who offers it. Over the weekend, I will try and find it.

A place offered to build me one custom 2 years ago for a test situation. I think they use the same parts.

Thank you DRcook. I had check on the 84-89 dashes. Kinda makes one ponder some things. Currently my dash is working very well, but who knows someday. So has anyone actually installed one of these?

Yes, both early and late models. These have been around for many years. Threads here on them.

I had a Vettaid gauge package installed on my '84 in 2014. It's a very easy process and Vettaid folks are very good at answering any questions.

And how did you like it? Is it worth doing? What are the positives and negatives? Is it something you'd recommend?

Does the steering wheel block the lower gauges or is it just the angle of the photo?

I did not originally intend to install the gauge package. I had a Tremec TKO600 installed and just couldn't get the speedometer to work with the new transmission. The Dakota digital interface was not working.

I know it was an extreme thing to do to buy an expensive gauge package, but I did like the look and it was different.

The kit comes with an oil pressure sending unit and I also got a new temp sending switch.

Negatives? None really. The price is better from Vettaid. They are very helpful with installation questions and the installation was easy using existing wiring.

You do lose the DIC (digital information center) in the center dash area that has mileage and other information.

I've seen the original poster's gauge package on ebay. I think if your looking for an updated look it's not bad. I like the old style gauge look, but I do miss my Star Wars cluster too.

No. I think it was just the angle from that photo. I just took this pic from the driver's seat looking down at the gauges. No blocked view.

Excellent info. Thank you very much.

I am curious, do you have the option to position the smaller gauges with in the dash of are the positions dedicated?

I think I am going to stick with my stock dash until I am forced to go this route. This seems like a very good option though. Thanks again.
