Default Help-Keep throwing a code! Running Rough, 96 LT4

Hi All,

Thanks for all your help in the past. I am in the process of reviving an LT4 that sat for a long time.
I cleaned out the fuel lines and changed fuel sending unit/pump and filter-blew out line.
Also changed injectors
Got the car fired up, but running rough. Noid lights all check out fine. Changed plugs and wires (so far wires only on passenger side). Still though, I keep throwing a 307 code (misfire on cylinder 7).

Any thoughts on what the problem can be? Also I want to confirm which cylinder is 7? I think it is the one on driver side, closest for firewall??
I pulled that wire while running, and I am getting spark.
I am stumped-Help!
Thanks in advance, I am going crazy!
Frank

Do the driver side wires too. My LT4 had a p0307 also with a noticeable misfire and although you have spark at that cylinder, it may be arcing to ground somewhere. Mine was arcing to the exhaust manifold heat shield as the wire was barely touching the heat shield and burned through. Yes #7 is the farthest one back closest to the firewall.

Yeah, I kinda figured but didnt see how I could access the opti. Any suggestions how I can get access? Looks buried under AC, alternator and every other thing possible...
Any tips/tricks etc would be great! Looks like a 'Job"!

Yes, I meant Po307. Anyone have any advice for changing the plug wires on the driver side? Good tips for accessing the opti to chhange the wires?

I removed the panel that is over the upper control arm along with the asr unit for more access. It was a couple of years ago and I don't remember what else I may have removed but its a tedious job to do correctly.
