I believe you need to be careful with lock **** purchases. '89 and earlier I believe, probably '90 - '93 and then '94+.

OP asked about something for an '86 earlier but doesn't mention year this post.

the interior lock **** shown is primarily used on the 84-89 corvette, but were also used with a wide variety of GM models - fiero, cutlass, camaro, to name a few. there are several part numbers associated with the ****. the original 20380981 ****, i'm thinking, was superseded by at least the 20632681 number - probably others. i'm thinking there was a pontiac fiero/pheonix and olds cutlass TSB addressing the interior *****. i'm fairly sure all have been discontinued, but there may be residual stock out there somewhere. I have a small stash of NOS - one that was OE to the 84-85 corvette

You don't need to pay corvette tax. That style lock **** was also used on A,J, F and X bodies during the eighties and early nineties.

corvette tax - ??? - well maybe... on the different applications - do a fleabay search on the following (part numbers) - "****, 20632681, 22551059, 20250950, and 20380981" - sometimes the corvette tax isn't all that bad --

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1996-1998-O...FWIUAC&vxp=mtr
$152.95 plus shipping for one f'in lock **** -

I guess my bag of four, for $30 (shipped) wasn't that bad after all...

If I were needing I believe I'd try some "local" dealers before doing a thing. I'd think there's very likely lots of product still on dealers shelves.

I'd say the bag of 4 @ $30 looks to be nearly retail maybe. Reproductions are less than or near $5 from some, may have purchase minimums or maybe inflated shipping but there looks to be options for the 20632681 you mention!

eBay for comparison pricing always. A buy from? Often not!

$7.50 (average) shipped - yeah, let me know if you can find OEM cheaper.

The post you deleted was a little more "entertaining" than this!
