Is there any visual difference between a gm original emblem for rear corvette compared to an aftermarket one that you would buy at zip or corvette central etc?

Visually, I dont believe so... I know some were plastic and good GM licensed repros or OEM's are metal.
The ones I bought from Corvette Central were metal...may years ago.
Im looking at the word corvette emblem on back bumper.....the price for orginal gm is about twice the price....just looking to see if it's a noticeable difference

Ohhh, ok, my bad.... I was thinking fuel door emblem.... SO the word CORVETTE on the rear between the lights.... I'm sorry I have no experience with those.... Although I'm 99.9999% sure they were not ever metal. They all look like theyre identical. Scour Ebay and sometimes they come up in the for sale section here on the site. I've had pretty good luck with these kinds of things as long as they're licensed by GM.
The original I took off my 1985 was plastic and the one that I replaced it with was plastic. They looked the same.
Ok thanks. I saw saw some on ebay that were gm for twice the price but couldn't notice any difference....I know orginal is more but if you can't tell ....
