Cheap but effective C4 cupholder
On my 95 C4 coupe I soon realized the very shallow cup holders were more than worthless unless you never make a turn - at any speed!
Hang on, for a found an odd but great solution. Bug Spray. Go to Lowes or other source and buy a can of Spectracide "Wasp & Hornet Killer" which has a black plastic cap. I know the 20 oz. value size works fine for my 95 coupe. You will need to trim the top 1/4" or so of the cap to get rid of the inner ridge. It will now slide down firmly in to the shallow cup holder, but now it will hold a can or whatever you use with higher sides. God bless and enjoy the ride. John

Nice one, although I don't think it will work for me... On my '93, a coffee cup either blocks the cigar lighter plug or the shifter... Or both.
Funny, I was just thinking about this today as I drove to work and wrestled with my coffee cup the whole way.

I must try this! I have the double cup holder that slides in under the console plastic and Mrs. 2LZ hates it. It eats up what little room there is on the passenger side and jabs her in the leg.

Do you guys have the factory rubber liner in the cup holder?

I slide a water bottle down into the nook behind the passenger's seat, up against the side of the center console. It rides just fine there, and will not move or tip over. And it's out of everybody's way.

I bought one of these on Amazon. Fits perfect in my 88 Auto and has not tipped over yet. Thermos style so it keeps stuff hot or cold. Looks pretty cool too.

I use a holder that slides down between the passenger seat and the console, it is wedge shaped and fits tight. It holds a large cup and has a slot for a phone. I can pull it out if there is a passenger, it is easy to remove but holds good when installed. My car is auto but I think it would work on a manual. Most are a double cup but I like the single, Found the link

I took the opportunity to browse around Amazon for other cupholders for the C4 and the prices are truly insane. Talk about "Corvette tax"...

the prices seem to have crept up in the last 3 years since that thread was alive. you need to look at thread dates. but to answer your question, most of the major parts suppliers have them

I've never felt the absolute need to have something to drink in my car unless I'm traveling really far. Certainly not in my 35 year old car. I don't think I'm going to dehydrate in the short time I'm driving it. The whole "having a bottle of water/coffee with me everywhere I go" idea just seems and looks a bit weird to me.
