Radio on but no sound
I have a 95 Vert. Took out console to paint and while there pulled out radio to replace burned out internal bulb. Installed radio back in, while it turns on there is no sound? It was working fine before this. It is Bose with CD and tape player all in one unit. Not sure where to go from here. Any assistance would be appreciated.

If it is a Bose Gold unit, the "radio" is just a head unit with the EDM send the signal to the speakers. The speakers have amps that power the speakers.
It is a common problem for the EDM or the amps to go out. I'm not sure why your stereo was working prior but you either did something during installation (power surge or pluugs not seated properly) or it may be a coincidence.

Coincidence is usually not. That said the plugs only go one way and no power was supplied and the radio went from car to bench to car. But obviously something happened.
My next question is what is the fix? Complete new unit or is there a fix with the existing unit.
Thanks for the quick response.

Issue is resolved. Maybe this may assist anther member. After trying to figure out how I screwed this up I did some research last night. Discovered the amps in this system required +12 amps to work. Having the door open as I worked drained the battery. After charging it back up, radio and speakers are back to normal.
I know someone reading this is thinking " ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE BATTERY (idiot)". Lesson learned . And I did appreciate your response and info.
