Can Headers really cost?????
Is someone kidding us....I found long tube headers from almost $900.00 to the Hooker at $498.95 at JEGS.....TPIS must be dreamin......
What happened to good ol' fashion HOT RODDING.......
Prices blow me away...not that it matters....but damn....
Guess I will still pay the price.......BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's all about supply & demand and the Corvette tax. There just aren't as many people out there who want Corvette headers as opposed to Camaro/Firebird, :U Mustang, etc. headers. TPIS I think is like Polo, Tommy, etc. - good stuff, but you're still paying a lot for the name. You just gotta suck it up or try to find a good deal elsewhere. :cheers:

Yup! Its called "Corvette Tax". Its the price we pay for not driving the same cookie cutter car as a bazillion others. Shop around maybe you can find a better deal on a set in the forums parts for sale forum or on ebay. Maybe even a slightly used set for an even better deal. :blueangel:

Try Exotic Muscle, they are having a sale right now - a $100 dollars off c4 long tube ceramic coated headers. I think the price is like $525. There is a detailed post in C4 Tech perf. forum. I just ordered mine. :yesnod:

Just like the tpis mini ram. $1150.00 , Holley Stealth Ram less than half that I believe. (no computer, just the intakes for both) Won't fit under the hood of a C4 though without a high rise scoop. I thought forum members got a discount from supporting vendors, but they quoted me their regular price on the mini ram.

I paid 1200 for my DRM longtubes. They fit perfict. HAve you priced headers for a C5? They are around 1200 to 2000 :eek: for some of the big names. Unfortunatly they get the corvette tax added, but if you want to play, you have to pay :D It's just a little more expensive in a Vette.
