Default Break Interlock Selenoid?

I have heard this part is no longer available, then I have heard it's the part # 924705?

I don't want to bypass this thing/remove it... but I do want the car to be easier to get out of park.

Does anyone know this part number, or where it can be found?

Yes you do want to remove it, because that is the best way to handle the situation. Note that you still would not be able to move the shifter out of park, unless the key is in the run position, therefore no safety feature is diminished. In fact one could argue its unsafe to have the shifter locked in the park position (at all times) the brake pedal is not depressed. In the event you absolutely have to do things the hard way, then you can remove the solenoid, drill a teeny hole in it, and lubricate it with graphite powder and nothing else. This will work.
