I would surely stop driving it..... adding miles. wear and tear etc is never helpful when trying to sell. That becomes a bargaining chip for the buyer and not you.

You don't sell good cars on craigslist. You sell **** cars there. If your car is good, put it on ebay in a month. Lots of good pictures, it will do fine.

Guess that makes my '95 a sh*thole corvette. It sold on CL in two months for $8500.

You may have gotten lucky. Not that two months is particularly quick.

I was looking for a second auto last year for my wife. There are so many C4 autos to choose from. We wanted a convertible and I noticed two that looked good with about 60k miles. Once they dropped to about 8500 they were gone. I don't know about your specific car and prices in your area but this generally holds true. Just watch what sells at what price. If you aren't willing to sell for that then you may want to hold on to it.

There are crap cars and good cars on craiglsist. I bought my 96 LT4 on craigslist. Whether it's a crap or not, I guess that's debatable.

Dunno. But I'm pretty sure the OP would love to have sold his vette in two months at full asking price.

There's good reason to diversify your marketing strategy. Doesn't mean CL is not part of that strategy. I just think blanket statements like "you don't sell good cars on CL" is a big load of steaming b.s.

Craigslist also happens to be where I found both my '95 AND '96. So in MY experience, CL is the most perfect place of all to buy and sell a good Corvette.

There many Crap C4s in my area. I price mine higher than the other C4s with same miles, not by much. Why? Because mine is nicer, I have pics, receipts of everything that has been done.

Renfield, you bet I would have loved to have sold in my car in 2 months.

Yeah, this is true. At the moment there is a bunch of nonsense.

BTW... I've sold all my cars on CL and bought several too. Looking on CL does not make me fee "dirty."

Have you thought about some of the consignment places? There are several in DFW. I dunno....

I like Ebay myself.... bought and sold many cars and trucks on there and never had a real issue... I used CL one time for a set of TT2 wheels for a Z28 I had.... of course they were mis represented as far as condition... I passed on them.

Just keep it up for sale, first vette had on craigslist for 3 weeks, sold, the geo metro I drove around with a for sale sign on it for 3 days, sold. All it takes is one person to buy a car. My C4 was 1 of 2 in america for sale with the options I was looking for, the only other one being at a dealer and having slight bumper and headlight damage (fiberglass cracked) and they wanted 8k for it with 69k miles. You have a good looking car, personally I don't like the ruby's, but what do I know I've been told I have horrible taste
