Warranty claims. has anyone had an experience good or bad. were you satisfied? tell about your experience.
I need to make a claim and want to know what I'm going to experience in advance.
thanks for all your answers.
I don't get it - seems your attempting to 'aggravate' a situation that likely isn't a particularly big deal! You need to be talking to Zip not the masses!!!
Me, Joe, John, Jim Gary or Phil's experience has nothing to do with your suspected issue - neither does Sue's or Donna's.
Never had problems with Zip. Of the “big three” parts suppliers: Ecklers, Corvette Central, or Zip, I’ve never had problems. Always best not to **** of your bread and butter.
I have a good relationship with Zip,No problems what so ever. I agree with the above post, dont be an A$$hole with them,Most companies such as Zip do their best to give good service.
I purchased a rebuilt diff from them and paid a local shop to install it. within 1100 miles it failed. I had it removed and sent it back at my expense. It took them 5 weeks to rebuild the diff a 2nd time under warranty and I had to get on the phone with a supervisor to get them to rebuild it and ship it back to me that soon. they made no offer to pay for the extra removal and installation costs due to their original diff failing. As soon as I had the diff installed for the second time it immediately started making the same noise. not going to remove it and send to them again so I am taking the car somewhere else. ZIP corvette gets a thumbs down recommendation from me. I have the documentation from ZIP to back it up.
ALSO; if they answer is not what you want, it's only fair you post the whole story for us all to judge since you brought it up.
read post #10. I made a warranty claim that cost me $1000. to have the diff removed and sent to Zip for warranty claim. they sat on it for over 4 weeks then sent it back saying they rebuilt it a second time, when I had the diff re-installed the diff it made the same noise immediately. I was not going to send it back to Zip a again after this.
