I can’t open my hatch back and I hear the click on the plunger switch or the door switches. But it doesn’t open can you give me some ideas of what could be the problem.
Get somebody to lift the edge of the hatch glass while you push down on the release button. Could be that the glass is stuck to the weatherstripping.
The struts that actually open the window once the latch releases may have lost all of their pressure so they no no longer work to raise the glass even a slight amount.
There is a mechanical release cable that is inside the storage area at the very back. It will be just to the right of the center of the rear trim and under the security shade. Pull the wire and use your hand to raise the glass.
Last resort as c4cruiser mentioned. Here's an image from an Owners Manual. A friend had his daughter crawl into the back and push with her feet while he punched the buttons. Wasn't a need for the cable.
^^^ all good points above. Consider putting a rubber vacuum nipple on the glass striker pin. If may not be making contact with the actuator release button. GC
