Default Weatherstripping

I've read a couple of threads but the latest is from early last year. Has anyone a source for weatherstripping for a '93 Coupe at a decent price? There seems to be a whole slew of choices. Right now I'm leaning toward Corvette America's Weatherstrip Kit USA but there's an eBay kit for about $60 less with free shipping. I suspect but have not yet confirmed that it is imported.

Brands or vendors to avoid?

As an aside, I'm looking at the kits, but the door seals seem to be fine. It's just the stuff on top that really needs replacing -- Windshield, hatch, and Targa Top. I'm not sure it's much less expensive to forgo the doors though.

Any suggestions as far as that goes?

Thanks in advance,
Jerry

Most people talk highly of the CRC brand. It's made in the good ole USA and its available from Wilcox.

Sometimes Wilcox runs a sale. If they do, it might be worth something to get it from them otherwise either CRC website or Wilcox, whomever is cheaper.

Bought mine via Eckler’s last year. Hard to get the old stuff off my ‘94, but super easy to install the new.

Just heard back from Corvette America and their vendor for the USA made kit is CRC. At $360, that makes them a serious contender. The catch is, and I'm glad I looked at the page again, that the kit doesn't come with the "rear window." I'm assuming that means the hatch... Another email sent.

Got the email and, yes, the hatch seal is an additional $120... I don't have that kind of cash right now so what I may have to do is replace piece by piece, starting with the roof sides and the back hatch. It's either that or go with the Indian made set for $300 and planning to replace it sooner rather than later.

Which is the CRC website, please? The corporate (mmri-crc.com) doesn't appear to do retail sales.

Thanks,
Jerry

Did you ever order from Corvette America? I need to order a complete weatherstrip set for my 87 this weekend, and I am also considering the Corvette America USA made set. I noticed many forum members purchased theirs through Wilcox (who happens to be running a sale this weekend). From your post, it appears both Wilcox and Corvette America source from the same vendor. Thoughts?

Replaced all weather strips on 90 coup and 86 vert from Wilcox. They have "sales" every weekend. They work

I used Wilcox for mine 2 years ago, and have been really happy with them. Wilcox had excellent customer service and worked with me when I had issues with the A pillar strip. I'm not sure if anyone sells a rear hatch weather strip made in the US.

I ordered rear hatch weatherstrip from Wilcox; when inspecting the delivered product, I found one of the corner seams was beginning to separate. I contacted customer service and they immediately shipped me a new replacement. I wish all companies were this responsible in regards to correcting a problem.
