speedometer not working

Default speedometer not working
i've got a 1987 C4 but the speedometer is not working. The dispay comes on and then reverts to zero. How can I fix this?

You can search the subject, there are several extensive threads related to speedometer. Batee.com has information related to cluster. You can jack car up and check to see speed sensor on transmission is plugged in.

On my 94 vert had an erratic speedo, bounced from zero to actual. Had to replace the VSS.
