But, first: What year is your Vette? And, do you have an FSM? (FSM is prolly the FIRST tool one should buy for a "hobby car" - and a C4 IS a hobby car, for sure!)

To answer your question, the ground connection for the drivers side headlight is located at the left end of the frame rail bar that goes across the car between the bottom of the radiator and the front of the engine.
Check your headlight bulb connector for corrosion, and apply a little dielectric grease on the terminals. There's a few tricks to removing a headlight bulb!
