I am experiencing issues with my passenger side headlight. I had both gears replaced in November of 2014. The right headlight is stuck in the upright position and will not go down. When it first started acting up it would rotate, and after stopping in the upright position, it would move up and down slightly then stay in the upright position as it should.
The first few times it would go down when the lights were turned off, but at times we had to assist it in lowering. Now the light is stuck up in the upright position and will not budge.
Has anyone had this issue before, and what did you do to fix the issue? As I mentioned I had both gears replaced. Is it possible it is the gear or some other malfunction?
Does it make any noises now when trying to go up or down? Is the wiring harness connected all the way? Will it open &n close manually?
My husband said he could hear the nylon gear moving but no movement in the headlight. The wiring harness is connected. My husband was able to close it once manually, but the second time it stayed up we could not get it to budge.

....the second time it stayed up we could not get it to budge.
Thanks
If when you turn the headlight switch the motor runs, but the H/L doesn't do what it's supposed to, it's the gears.
If the motor won't run, and you can't turn the manual **** something is jammed.
I'd open the hood, stand with the driver's door open and turn the h/l switch off and on, while watching the h/l to get a better idea, myself, of what's happening then post back.
Us, trying to diagnose it through you, going by what your husband said or did....that's going to be a slow process, likely riddled with miscommunications.
