Make sure all three of the servo mounting bolts with rubber bushings are there and snugged down. If missing 1 bolt or not tight the cruise will not work. I found out the hard way after many hours of diagnosing why it did not work.
I had to replace the stalk, the switch was bad in it.
I have not tried the mounting bolts yet. I did look at the switches on the clutch and brake pedals. What I found was the switch on the brake pedal with the vacuum line attached to it does not have anything plugged into it. It does have a place to plug in but I cant find anything that is not already plugged in.
You dont need CC anyway, it kills people, a co worker driving in the middle of the night set her CC, fell asleep, car went off road rolled three times, killed her. if she had not had CC set the car might have just rolled to a stop, not fly off the road at 65 mph.

Sounds like falling asleep at the wheel kills people
Holding vacuum and power to the fuse. What else do I check?
A quick check to see if the tail lights are working. If the tail lights, even just one or two are malfunctioning or an open circuit to them will cause the cruise not to work.
Problem with my cruise ended up being the switch on the brake pedal. There are two switches, one for the brake lights and one for the cruise (which is the one with the vacuum line to it). It may either be out of adjustment or as in my case the contacts were corroded.
