Has anyone ever in counted there c4 running for around 10 minutes then it just shuts down. Wait a bit and it will start and do the same thing again. I've been told it could be the coil.

You should always include the year of the car. C4s were made for 13 years, had at least 5 different engines, several different transmissions, different electronics, etc. The pertinent information related to the problem should also be included.
My 1991 had a similar problem. I finally discovered the computer thought the water temp jumped from about 160 F to 260 F in less than one second, and the car would then shut down. I eventually tracked it down to the likely culprit, and replaced the computer. That was it.
