Just wanted to say hey and show a 85 C4 I just inherited. The car is all original with 13,000 miles and has been garaged since 1993. In January of 2018 I got it started and now take it around the block once a week. It does need tires and I’ve just recently noticed a very small amount of tranny fluid. So with that said I will be asking questions here🙄 I am a first time vette owner.

Thanks it is basically new, the only replacement part on it is an alternator but i do have the original one and i plan on changing the guts out in it so i can have the original back. after 23 years of sitting it does need a complete detailing.

First off its a C4 Corvette.
So dont expect a smooth comfortable ride.
Corvette parts have an extra price tag that other Chevys dont.
Stealerships have no idea how to work on a C4, let alone a 85.
Buy a Factory Service Manual FSM and read it.
Enjoy the ride and remember to wave! :

Fortunately the previous owner (Father in-law) bought that manual and that will be a must read, and i do have a "go to" corvette guy i can go to. I just look forward to maintaining the car to pass along to my Daughter, and I'll be sure to wave.
Very nice, After sitting for a long period the seals will dry out. First be sure to change all the fluids and check everything out. Drive it a few hundred miles see if it stops leaking if not you may have to replace the seal.
Congratulations! Shes a beauty!
As mentioned, anything rubber will need attention as will the fluids.
Tires
Brake hoses
cooling system hoses
Serpentine belt
Various vacuum hoses
Shocks will need replaced (most like Bilsteins) I do...
