How to connect aftermarket gauges to temperature sending unit
Hey guys,
I just re-built my top end on my 1985 Corvette. I'm running Trickflow cylinder heads and I cannot connect my sending unit too my heads to get a temperature reading. There must be some guys here that have used some kind of adapter so they can use their original gauges without running aftermarket temp gauges through the firewall.
Does anyone have any links for some kind of adapter I can use? Part number for Cylinder heads TFS-30400002
Thanks in advanced.

Your 85 block should have the factory gauge temp sensor located in a port below #1 and 3 cylinders.
Not sure if you can use it for both gauges with an adapter or not. May have to just use the analog temp gauge. I have a carbed 84 C4 so have a temp port on my zz4 intake manifold for my autometer gauges. There is also a temp port by #6 and 8 that is used for your fan temp sensor.

Seems maybe odd but they mention 1/2 NPT for gauge. If that's so then you just need a 1/2 NPT to 3/8 NPT bushing to use your sender. Call them to confirm the size I'd think but this is their very 'generic' information.

If the 1/2 NPT is confirmed any NAPA or many auto parts stores should be able to help you.
