Default Performance axle

Hi wondering what gears are in my 90 has D-36 would codes tell me ? Thanks. Gary

Well if you have a dana 36 chances are that you have the auto trans and thus I believe that the Performance Axle (code G92 )was a 3.07.

Here is an interesting tidbit the Black Book mentions that in 1990 if you ordered the performance axle ratio you also gained an additional 5 hp due to a "less restrictive exhaust system". It does not mention anything at all about what is different within the exhaust system.

Wow that's Awesome 5 more hp is grate that's good to know thanks so much for your Info. And yes my car has the G92 code and your wright it is auto Thanks Gary in AZ

The exhaust difference is that the mufflers have both outlets open. On convertibles, the have one side blocked off so that it’s a little quieter, but you loose 5 hp.
