How do I change out the battery in my 95 Corvette, if it has the Greenwood package? The trim on the bottom of the body blocks access to the bolt on that removable panel
not familiar with the greenwood package, but sounds like you have to remove anything and everything that's preventing you from accessing that bottom bolt -
I do it from up top. Remove the cruise servo and the brace bar (and if there's anything I'm not remembering right now, move it too) and you can lift the battery out. It's a bit snug getting the battery in and out but it's not hard or particularly time consuming and looked a lot easier than trying to get past the body kit.

Perfect answer!
To make it even easier, go ahead and remove the wheelhouse to fender screws. Doing so will let you slightly flex the fender back. Just be careful in case the previous owner left out that lower bolt, knowing that someday the battery would need replacement. You obviously do not want to break the Greenwood lower trim by "flexing" the fender too much.

I believe a 'later' C4 with ECM/PCM under-hood likely adds additional challenges. A 'talented' person that understands a later C4 might not have issues but I can see a less talented owner have issues and creating likely a worse case situation.
I believe much depends upon how the 'ground effects' are actually installed as to how you approach it.

- just the fact that the OP asked the question, tells me that "from the top" would open a can of worms. i'm sure the side skirt is just bolted in, in other words, probably just have to remove an additional dozen screws.
