Default Headlight Lights?????

Can you swap out the bulbs in a 1988's headlights? Or the forglights? My foglights dont work and i want to get some bulbs to see if that is the problem. If you can swap out the bulbs, what is best and how hard is the installation? Correct me if im wrong but the button beside the headlight button( the thing you pull out?) is the button for the foglights right? Mine dont seem to work and i want to know why. thanks!!

As you see on your fog lamp switch. There is a dot on the right side, and a fog light picture on the left side; if I recall correctly. The switch has to be pushed in on the dot side. When I first got my vette; this confused me at first. Also the parking lights have to be on.

To turn the parking lights on all you do is pull the thing out half way and it still doesnt work.

W/any electrical related issue; the first thing I'd check would be the fuses.

I agree, check the fuses first. If they look ok, try changing the bulbs out. It's not that hard, at least for the fog lights.

As for the headlights, I think MAD sells a set of replacement Hella lamps that contain replaceable bulbs. I can't remember which catalog it's in, but, you can also buy an upgrade to the bulbs that originally come with the Hella lamps that can provide you with " super white light" and are made by PIAA.

Hope this helps.

I bought some headlight housing that you install bulb in. These are much brighter than the standard headlights, which seem pretty weak when you are on a dark highway driving at highway speeds. If you go to EBay there is hundreds of headlight housings for sale w/bulbs.
