I visit a nearby track (Laguna Seca) quite frequently, and I notice that many (not all) of the transporter drivers use LRV (leather, rubber, vinyl) on their interiors, and tires. LRV is made by THE WAX SHOP, and is available at most auto stores. If your seats are leather, you might try using saddle soap as a cleaner and conditioner. For conditioning your leather, you might try mink oil (it is not an oil, but a soft "shoe polish"). Both these items are usually found in any shoe care department of any store.
and this stuff does wonders!! Hate to say this but this is what the C5 guys use but they are definatley onto something here!!! It is not cheap about $ 20. 00 a bottle but you get whatv you pay for. The worst of it
is trying to find it, look at boat shops, marinas, true value and maybe ace hardware, good luck!!! :blueangel:
He put the stuff on all the weather stripping (which was new) everywhere on the car... delighted with the results, he attacked the interior dash and doors, mouldings and such and it looked fantastic. He told me he got pointers on usage from the dealer, who also told him he could put it on his leather as well, but my son uses Mother's cleaner & protectant for that.
Anyway, I checked out the weather stripping and it looked great, felt real pliable. We'll be putting the car into winter storage soon so I'm sure he'll use it one more time before then.
He has tried the pledge thing, simplegreen, Mother's and a few other products - but he told me today that his search is over for protectant.
Oh, its suppose to be good for tires as well :yesnod: Who knew!
