PS: That body kit.. WOW.. Oh wow.

Once again, it kinda proves the logic of: "Just because you CAN do something, that doesn't mean you should."

This car is worth every penny of its asking price...not to a car buff...but to an anthropologist: it 's a perfect 1980's period piece and screams out everything that was wrong with that particular decade.

lol.. It's even spelled like.. "Hurrrr!"

Oh my gosh. lol..

It's a shame too, because I love those cars and that would otherwise be a really nice example.

I love the criticism from those who think a spoiler, side rails and a splitter are customizing a car.

I tend to agree with this assessment. I blame GM for this styling excess. Had GM actually produced Corvettes with some real performance capability, people would not have felt the need to over emphasize that their cars could go fast. IMHO,the late C3s were a poor lot.

If it had a tube chassis and BBC I would gladly pay 15k.

Those kits can be desirable, but in this case I pity the fool who bites.

- here's another one. I remember this one from north canton ohio back in the early 90's. seems to me, they were trying to sell in, and damn near couldn't give it away. as I recall, $100K+ invested - asking $15K and no takers.

I think that if you are going to build something that difficult to look at, it better be the fastest thing in a 200 mile radius in order to keep the chuckles to a minimum.

This Corvette also has a fully functional 8-Track player, and for the right deal, a bunch of 8-Track tapes will be included!

Ye ol' BLING vs. ZING when it comes to marketing. I think you and I would agree ZING is never KING...at least until the next BLING thing comes along. Then like the giant Oak tree, the seedling continues to grow AND GROW, casting its shadow upon the BLING cars - unless they were featured in a movie like the "Bandit" (Thunder Chicken) of course.

Dunno if it was GM's fault.

It was the Carter era with gas lines, regulations, and all the rest.

There were no real performance cars then. Even the mighty Vette only had about 150 HP at one point during the period.

Later, we jumped to 14 second, box stock, mustangs... And the hot rods were back.
