If anyone was running them and the results/impressions. I had found a set of new in box ZR1 replicas in 9.5 x 17 but they had been through 2 owners. Original purchaser had a stroke and sold car before mounting them, 2nd owner of car never mounted them, sold car and new owner of car didn't want them.
So of course there would be no warranty. After doing a bunch of searching I found a lot of bad reviews in other forums where they had a lot of runout, the center hole was offsize, etc.
So I passed on them. Then I tried to delete post/question, but of course we can't.
OE was the last source of actual 'replica' 5-spokes with correct rim edge. I've used them and I know many others that have. Being through 2 previous owners would maybe hint these were their earliest ones. You can't tell without a hands on but I'd say they deserved consideration.
I'm running OEWheels (the after market co.) wheels on my 96. I'm happy with them. I have the Z06 replicas and they passed road force balancing. 18" up front and 19" in the rear.
Good fortune. Bro-in-law pd us back some money today. Driving to Pa Wednesday to check them out.
Thank you to all of you that replied. I respect your opinion. Actually I have had real good fortune today. Also located a new in box cam that I wanted, close to me, for $100.00 less than list. Going to get it Friday.
Any advice for switching the TPMS sensors over to new wheels ??
Two sets of OE wheels here, black GS 9" x 17" all four and they are on my '92. Another set of GS replicas, painted, (2) 9" x 17" and (2) 11" x 17" for the '96 CE. Have had these wheels for years and never a problem with balancing or holding air pressure.
