Can someone identify these 3 switches and give me some reference direction to the Neutral Start Switch??? Maybe I didn't word the title correctly. I'm not looking to purchase one...I'm still trying to find the darn thing under the dash
Thanks for the recommendation, they only list one and it's for an automatic '90-'96. It's really strange what with all the Vettes made and 1985 this part is so rare.

i'm assuming from your new posts, that swapping connectors on the 86-91 safety switch is not a viable option for the 85 model year? your findings - ???

I spoke to JB parts and they said they don't have techs that could verify the internal workings of the switch. I'm going to investigate further and see if maybe the rod just fell off.

they don't list all they have. Did you try calling them?

I don't have a wiring diagram close by, but i'm assuming the internal workings are nothing more than a N.O. switch, and when the clutch pedal is depressed, the switch closes, and completes the starter circuit by enabling the starter solenoid. still saying all that is needed is to swap out the electrical connectors.

Sorry Joe, and everyone else. I mistakenly started 2 threads on this subject. I posted on the other one that I had found the Grn/Wht and Yellow and Blk/Blk wires and even at that spent about 3 hours trying to look up and gain access to the switch. I even purchased a "Plumber's Snake" video camera and still couldn't see it. Finally, out of frustration, I just gave up and jumped the wires and it started right up. I also ordered the rod and clip on Ebay in the event that was the problem ($9.99, should arrive today). I printed a large RED warning sign to carry with the car, in case I have to take the car in for service, which I will carry with the car. Other than that NO ONE else will ever drive the car but me.
I also stated I will be so happy to see this thread fade into hyper-space, I probably spent about 30 hours trying to replace/repair this switch...enough already!!!
Thanks to all for the help and support
Frank
