Gasket question?
1989 auto trans. Stock
is there supposed to be a gasket where the stock exhaust manifold bolts to the stock Y exhaust pipe. This the exhaust pipe before the big main cat. I don’t have the two small cats, one on each side I think it’s called a donut gasket

if i'm reading you right, there are no gaskets, or "donuts" between the stock exhaust manifolds and the front Y-pipe. in stock form, it utilizes a ball-flange type connection.
