I always wave to peeps going the opposite direction of the freeway too. Ive seen waves from the other side a time or two so I do the same. Welcome to the addiction dood!!! :blueangel:
My wife told me about the wave. I like it. But I agree there are some who might not know about the wave like myself untile someone says something :seeya

Welcome to the madness! :seeya I wave all the time, and I get about 85% wave-backs. Not too shabby, given that sometimes people have tunnel vision when they drive. :yesnod:
Some people get a little too excited about it, i don't like those frantic waves with eye contact, i try to be cool(and my kids remind me i'm not) about it, two fingers up off the wheel in a peace sign kind of thing with a nod and a smile, that works for me. not the hand spasm like youve never seen a vette before

Kids are great for that arent they? I have to admit that when I first got my vette I really felt like a poser. I mean Id look at her and I knew I wasnt cool enuff to be driving an awesome machine like that. Well, now Im used to it and consider myself a "vette guy" and I guess it shows in other ways too...the other day my youngest son was with me going to the store, but we were in my daily driver, an S10, and as we were walking into the store he whispers to me: "Dad...you cant walk like that, we didnt drive the vette" I asked him what he was talking about and he then tells me how whenever Im driving the vette and get out of it and walk away or when I leave a store and get in sight of it I start to walk with this bit of a swagger! I couldnt believe it...me? So now everytime I go somewhere Im watching myself to see if I do that....sheesh, boy did I feel like a knucklehead when he told me that :bb :blueangel:
Oh yeah its all about being  when you see another vette, I agree a little head nod and a two or three finger wave up off the steering wheel is best

Welcome to the clan! A couple words of wisdom from the old farts...... Drive responsibly and safely (we want you around for a long time!) and, if you wave to Fords, be sure to use your whole hand! :D

I always wave but I think some of you are missing the point. It's not about how cool or un-cool you are. The wave is just a friendly way to let the other guy or girl know that you understand the pride and all the work it takes to keep these Tupperware cars looking and running so good! :seeya
Welcome - It used to be easier years ago as there were not so many of us. Now there are so many more Vettes out there and some drivers are not aware of the tradition. I just wave and if I get a wave back that's cool if not then that's ok. My car has been out of commission for several months now and I am missing the wave. When I see a corvette I wave from my truck. :seeya
