Default 1988 C4 engine code 23

I have pulled the engine code and it is 23, Manifold Air Temperature Circuit High. Exactly what does that mean and how do I go about fixing it? Don't know if there is a sensor to replace or where exactly it would be. Or is there another issue?

The air temp sensor is under the plenum so I have to remove the runners and top plenum and turn it over. I forget if they changed yours to the front of the engine or not. It is air temp so it should be easy to find. Usually the wire breaks or the sensor went bad so the computer is reading infinity or short. Some have a hollow tip but I used a regular coolant sensor and it worked fine. The wire is by the passenger side /distributor and should go under by FPR.

Thanks for the information. Since I have to remove the top plenum and runners I think I'll go ahead and swap out the EGR valve while I'm there. I appreciate the help.
