Default Does anybody recognize these wheels?

I just bought these wheels off of a guy who had them sitting on a c4 in a yard for a couple years. They are not in the best condition but it seem like they have no cracks and are generally okay. I have been trying to figure out who made them but there isn't really any identifiable factors on the front or back of the rim. If anybody recognizes them or might know that would be sweet.

They are real two piece wheels, but the center cap thing confuses me as that is an earlier corvette emblem. The tires size put on them is 275/40/17.

They look very similar to Gotti wheels. I'd be interested to see what they are as well. Are the centers aluminum?

They seem to be Gotti wheels to me as well. Those were the cats meow in the early to mid 80's..

edit*** I am having second thoughts... Gottis have the part number/name stamped on the front of the wheel on one of the spokes... I dont see that on yours.

How would I be able to tell if they are aluminum? Also the centers come off of the rims like this.

If a magnet doesn't stick to them they are either aluminum or magnesium...

Okay so I just tested them and they are completely non-magnetic.

You took off the center caps. The centers are the 5 spoke part

Whoops, must've worded that poorly, I meant to say that the center cap came off like that. I mentioned that cause i haven't really seen a center cap like that before on a wheel.
Though I did test the barrel, center, and center cap with a magnet and none of them were magnetic.

Should be numbers or something stamped somewhere.

They look like many popular wheels on exotic or performance cars of the 80's-90's. I like them a lot.

No idea of the brand, but familiar with the style, but they would be kind of cool on my car.... Too bad I already have 2 sets of GS wheels.

They are Gotti 3 piece wheels with aftermarket spinners. I ran Gottis on my 84 decades ago. They should say Gotti on the back.

Polish the lips, and if the centers a aluminum you can polish them as well. Or, you could get them painted or powder coated. Those wheels will look great on an 84-90 C4.

I just did a test fit on my 87 and they fit perfectly, so it seems like they were made for the c4. Took a look on the back and front for maybe some real small markings but I cant find any clear markings that its Gotti. The inner barrel of these rims almost seem burnt so maybe somethings hiding underneath all the crud. I was cleaning them when I took the original pictures but no matter what i used to clean them it still was all brown/black instead of silver.

The lips are still in decent condition but good god the centers are just so damn rough to the touch. They have an almost concrete texture to them, so I'm not sure if I can do much to them besides taking them somewhere to get sandblasted and powdercoated.

I had 16X9 Gotti 5 spoke wheels on my '86. I purchased the wheels in '87 from the Tire Rack with Yokhama 255/50-16 008Rs. Gotti was stamped into the bottom of one of the spokes. Whether or not they are Gotti's it's still probably worth restoring them. At least they're 17s for better tire choices.

Hold up a minute, are these the kind of identifiers that I would be looking for. It might be hard to read but it says "Work" and "Made in Japan"

Also did a little bit of reasearch after being told that these are Gotti J55A, it seems that Gotti only made wheels that went up to 16 inches. The mysterious wheels I have are 17 inches so they cant be Gotti J55A, must be something else.

Thank you guys for helping me identify the wheel. In the end it is a "Work Equip 05" that used to have aftermarket spinners that the previous owner half asssed onto the rim's center cap. IMO they look much better now without them.

These were the spinners that got taken off, not really sure what il do with them now.
