Paint or Not???
I drive a C5. My Motherdear have a 1975 C4. My question is she have a few very light cracks in the out side of the paint. A man yuoted her $6,000 the repaint the car. Cars value now is appraised at $15,000 now. By getting it painted will it devalue her car. Ty for all your shared wisdom.

Just to help you a bit, a 1975 is a C3
When you say "light cracks" that is a matter of judgement. If it were me, I'd never put a $6k paint job on a $15k C3 car with "light cracks."
A picture would help to classify what "light cracks" really look like.

Surface cracks as in a paint cracking due to the flexpaint on the plastic bumpers being old or cracks in the fiberglass? That is the question.
If its with the fiberglass it needs more care, will probably soak up every drop of resin they can put in it too. If its just the flexible bumpers or clear coat issues due to age then they can just strip and repaint it.
