This came installed in my 96 coupe when I bought it. I haven't been able to find out much about it. My best guess is that it is something that was once available and no longer manufactured. Any information would be appreciated. My inclination is to leave it alone.

I have one on my 85, I think they still make them.....ram air cold air induction systems......It works ok, didn't see any difference in performance....wish I would have left it stock....

I installed one on my 89 with L98. Seemed to open up the engine a bit and it does sound better but without any before and after dyno runs I'd say there is no major HP or torque improvement. Im happy with the sound as benefit.

I know for a fact once my tuner forgot to put the fan in front of the Vette and The Ghost lost 15 horses at the wheels. We put the fan in front and he got back to normal.
