I have a silver 84 vette. The person I bought it from decided to ruin the iconic taillights with black lenses that he SILICONED in... Is there anyway to remove the silicone and lenses without damaging the paint/fiberglass?? Thank you.
Try a razor knife to cut around the edge than remove the complete light assembly first (3 - 10mm bolts from the rear on each) and then cleanup. By the way the rear bumper cover is made of a urethane not fiberglass and will cut very easy so be careful. You can access them by removing the tag bezel on the inside lights and the outside next from the inside holes. When reinstalling do not over tighten you will strip the plastic.
