Default Windshield Wiper help

The delay functions on my sons 93 base quit working. I don’t have an FSM. I checked the wiper motor cover and the circuit board looks new. Pulled the motor and checked both wiper rods and everything looks fine. Is there a wiper relay I should check? Or do you guys think it might be the switch in the colum? Just don’t want to waste money as a new motor is $200, another wiper motor cover is $100, and the colum switch is around $150 if I can even get one....

Hi works. Low is questionable. And parking the blades is a problem.

Sounds like cover or park switch. You want to make sure contacts are making contact with cover and not corroded. Covers had some problems with water intrusion. Rtv was used to seal replacement cover to motor. Park switch holds contacts and is available separately from dealer.

The contacts in the cover looked barely used. The cover looks new. Where is the park switch located?

I also put some dielectric grease on the contact points when I put it back together.

The contact pads should have a noticeable marks. You also need to besure motor is grounded. Park switch mounts on motor it's what parks motor.

No the cover is the pulse module. Without pulse it just a plastic cover. The little spring loaded contacts attach to park switch. Park switch bolts to motor. IDK it still sounds like a cover/ pulse module problem. The motor does need to be grounded. You want to check it before replacing parts.

Ok I’ll double check it again. The motor was missing a bolt and I replaced it. I’ll try and do some research on the park switch in the motor. Thanks!

I’m guessing the park switch was removed in this photo?

Got it now. It is in the photo, with the tabs removed. It’s a cheap part so I’ll go from there. Thanks again!

The tan thing with the blue bolt is park switch. There is a metal tab on the cover. It has a hole for a bolt through it. That is the ground for the module, bolt should be about a 1/2" long.

Yes, I saw the ground tab. Put dielectric grease on it as well.

Searching for park switches, and they are hard to find new for the corvette. Plenty out there for the camero but pretty sure they are different. I might have to buy a complete used wiper motor assembly, and see where that takes me.
