Anyone have an idea on how to adjust/tighten the panel that covers the convertible top? I have a 1990 vert and the panel latches, but has play in it and clicks up and down while driving on bumpy roads. There's about 1/4 inch of play on one side.

The portion of the latch that attaches to the car body adjusts. You have to remove a trim piece or carpet (I forget exactly) to get at the adjusting bolts.
If you are referring to the rigid cover that hinges down over the folded top, and if that is the piece that is moving, the big pins that drop into the latches can be adjusted.. Just loosen it's lock-nut, and then turn in/out until the fit is right.
